Are you a UK Payroll Specialist with experience in a big matrix organisation? If so, we would like to hear from you! We’re currently looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our entertainment client for a 6-month contract.

As a UK Payroll Specialist, you will be a key member of a high-performing international payroll team. You will be based in London, working cross-functionally across many time zones, especially in the US.

The right candidate for this position will be an individual who has a natural intellectual curiosity, strong analytical skills, flexibility and the desire to drive process improvements. The candidate will flourish in a “hands-on” role.

Responsibilities

  1. Process payroll & reimbursable expenses for a portfolio of UK entities in-house within the Workday payroll module.
  2. Manage the relationship with local stakeholders such as HMRC & local tax advisory companies.
  3. Ensure an accurate and timely payroll, including but not limited to base pay, stock compensation, payroll taxes, pension, statutory and supplemental benefits, mobi employees, shadow payroll, etc.
  4. Work on timely and correct wage tax filings and ensure local wage tax obligations are met and implemented.
  5. Perform timely and accurate month-end close process including account reconciliations and accruals.
  6. Cross-functional collaboration with all process & business partners for process improvements and efficiency.
  7. Partner closely with our internal partners (HR / Employee Services / Employment Legal) to provide our UK employees with a first-class onboarding and payroll experience.

Qualifications

  1. Solid functional experience with payroll processing and accounting in UK payroll supporting multiple entities.
  2. In-house processing experience in Workday is a must.
  3. Intermediate/Advanced with Excel and other Microsoft/Google products.
  4. Strong communication skills, written/verbal, and ability to interact with employees at all levels, including upper management.
