Are you a seasoned sports marketing professional ready to make a significant impact on a global scale? We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to step into a pivotal role within a world-class Global Sports Marketing team. This is your chance to operate as a General Manager for a marquee global sports League, owning the entire relationship, driving the technical roadmap, and crafting compelling storytelling opportunities that align with key marketing priorities. You will be at the heart of merging advanced technology with the thrilling world of sports, designing groundbreaking marketing campaigns that captivate audiences globally. Your work will be highly visible, incredibly impactful, and a direct driver of success for the company’s marketing objectives.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategy Development: Own the technical roadmap and spearhead comprehensive marketing plans for an assigned global League within the Sports Marketing portfolio. This includes setting ambitious goals and ensuring alignment on global and regional integrated marketing strategies that support business objectives.
  • Partnership Management: Serve as the primary owner of the marketing relationship with the partner. Manage contractual agreements and all associated assets. Act as the key contact for the League, fostering strong relationships, influencing co-marketing initiatives, and proactively identifying incremental, impactful marketing activation opportunities.
  • Marketing Management: Drive the end-to-end execution of marketing initiatives and campaigns, leveraging partnership benefits. Develop compelling narratives around the innovation and initiatives stemming from the partnership, creating scalable content that amplifies its impact across various channels.
  • Analytics and Optimization: Monitor campaign performance metrics, conduct thorough data analysis, and extract actionable insights to continuously optimize marketing strategies. Prioritize the utilization of benefits to achieve maximum business output, balancing against Marketing priorities, measuring ROI, and making strategic trade-offs when necessary.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with diverse internal teams, including global marketing, sales, hospitality, professional services, and public relations, to ensure consistent messaging and brand representation across all marketing touchpoints.
  • Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to continuously refine and inform the Partnership marketing strategy.

Your role demands deep ownership, extensive cross-functional collaboration, and significant influence to drive the marketing business rhythm, mechanisms, and synergies, ultimately unifying all aspects of marketing communications around the Partnership. As a global team member, you will seamlessly integrate sports partnerships with colleagues worldwide, engaging in detail-oriented project management, information sharing, aligning on plans and goals, building joint and bespoke campaigns, and establishing robust business relationships. You will also collaborate with engineers, data scientists, sports leagues, teams, and athletes to create multi-channel campaigns that deliver a steady cadence of coverage, conversations, engagement, and awareness.

  • Extensive professional non-internship marketing experience.
  • Proven experience utilizing data and metrics to drive significant improvements.
  • Proficiency with data manipulation tools such as Excel or Tableau, including charts, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Demonstrated experience building, executing, and scaling complex cross-functional marketing programs.
  • A track record of driving direction and achieving alignment with diverse cross-functional teams.
