Join a forward-thinking creative partner dedicated to shaping the future of brand experiences for leading technology innovators. This organization thrives on bringing brands to life through dynamic and impactful motion, ensuring movement is an integral part of brand identity from its very inception.
We are seeking a highly skilled and imaginative individual to elevate brand experiences through rich, considered movement. In this role, you will be a driving force, pushing the boundaries of motion craft with brilliant creative ideas, exceptional execution, and smart, rational thinking. You’ll move fluidly between 2D motion graphics, 3D animation, and short-form editing, collaborating closely with a team of designers who share a deep understanding of motion’s power.
Responsibilities
- Create best-in-class motion for brand identities, campaigns, and motion narratives, demonstrating equal comfort with 2D and 3D builds.
- Integrate motion thinking into projects from the outset, actively shaping concepts and treatments rather than applying movement as an afterthought.
- Edit short-form content for video-led projects and cut mood films for pitches and internal work as needed.
- Collaborate closely with wider creative and design teams to develop concepts, treatments, and storyboards, sharing insights freely and fostering collective growth.
- Potentially lead the motion workstream on projects, providing clear, constructive direction to other motion contributors.
- Confidently present and articulate your ideas and work to internal teams, clients, and partners.
- Set the benchmark for craft, attention to detail, and ingenuity within the studio.
- Champion innovative working methods, actively learning, testing, and trialing generative and AI motion tools, and integrating the most effective into our processes.
- Provide clear direction and constructive feedback when collaborating with external motion talent.
- Manage your own workloads across multiple projects and timelines, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
- Report to the Creative Director and assist in the running and leading of motion projects, including contributing to project scopes and estimates when required.
Required Qualifications
- A brilliant creative thinker who views motion as a storytelling tool, not mere decoration, capable of advancing an idea, a system, or an existing creative direction.
- Exceptional attention to craft and detail, ensuring perfection from the first keyframe to the final render.
- Fluent across 2D motion graphics, 3D animation, and short-form editing, transitioning between them with ease.
- A natural collaborator who shares and builds ideas with designers, meeting them in their motion-centric thinking.
- Comfortable engaging with the strategic and brand dimensions of our work, able to deeply understand client challenges.
- Grounded in the fundamentals of great storytelling, capable of confidently expressing ideas through storyboards and treatments.
- A strong understanding of brand systems, tone of voice, and guidelines, and how motion thrives within them.
- Curious about emerging tools, eager to learn, test, and trial generative and AI tooling, and discerning about where it genuinely adds value.
- Holistic and broadly curious, approaching each project as a fresh opportunity and moving freely between diverse sectors.
- Articulate, confident, and assertive in presenting work.
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, with deep expertise in After Effects (including plugins and expressions) and confident editing in Premiere Pro.
- Proficient in Cinema 4D, ideally with Redshift and/or Octane.
- Strong understanding of 3D motion pipelines and their integration into 2D workstreams.
- Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- 5+ years of hands-on motion experience at a leading agency.
- A strong design background, with a sharp awareness of current trends in both motion and design.
- Hands-on experience across the entire lifecycle of motion work, from ideation and treatment through to final delivery.
- A storyteller at heart, confident applying the fundamentals of narrative to both film and motion briefs.
Desired Qualifications
- Confident in, or confident in adopting: Figma and FigJam.
- Confident in, or confident in adopting: Google Workspace (Slides, Docs, Sheets).
- Capability or curiosity in one or more of the following: Generative and AI motion tooling, with a real appetite to test and trial it in your process.
- Capability or curiosity in one or more of the following: Real-time tools, particularly Unreal Engine.
- Capability or curiosity in one or more of the following: Video production, shoot direction, and the wider edit/post workflow.
- Committed and confident, energized by ambitious creative challenges.
- Relentlessly positive and enthusiastic about any challenge.
- Determined and tenacious enough to see projects through to completion.
- Generous and able to share ownership, never precious or protective of ideas.
- Open-minded and experimental, continuously seeking new ways to enhance the work.
- Unafraid to try and fail, possessing a 'nothing is impossible' spirit.
- Always hungry to learn and ready to share knowledge.
- A genuine team player who uplifts those around them.
