As Business Planning & Operations Lead you will bridge the technical and business worlds, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to bring products to consumers around the world. You will provide cross-functional leadership across multiple regions to chart strategic direction in line with overall company roadmaps, while delivering flexible, sales-focused capabilities that meet near- and long-term business needs. Your goal is to ensure the business is well-positioned to move quickly and adapt to scale and complexity.
The successful candidate must be able to roll up their sleeves. They will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. They will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to complex problems, possess strong project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results in a clear and understandable way. Most importantly, the successful candidate will be adept at utilising AI agents to improve and accelerate strategy and execution. Prior experience supporting stakeholders will be critical to success. Additionally, this leader must be passionate about Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Wearables, and Virtual Reality, and be an inspiring leader who can quickly build relationships with cross-functional partners, teammates, and stakeholders alike.
Responsibilities
- Drive streamlined and efficient processes (e.g., reporting, prioritisation) to optimise the rhythm of the business and team launch activities.
- Manage global initiatives while working with regional teams, driving alignment and developing projects at regional levels with potential to scale globally.
- Improve operational excellence by identifying and executing initiatives that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or improve processes and approaches. This includes exploring ways AI and other tools can be built and deployed to improve workflows.
- Support sales teams on medium- and long-term planning, including deep analytics of business potential and strategic business partnership with key leaders.
- Build cross-functional relationships and establish resources to help solve complex interdisciplinary problems on behalf of the business.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ yearsβ experience in management strategy consulting, corporate strategy, sales planning & operations, or a relevant field.
- Experience working within consumer sales channels (Retail, Telco), solving complex business problems and driving projects from strategy to execution.
- Leadership and influencing skills; ability to lead and influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience working cross-functionally with leadership to develop and execute successful plans. Knowledge of organisational dynamics, change management, and process improvement.
- Project management experience.
- Proficient with CRM, data visualisation, and analytical tools.
- Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite.
- BA/BS in an analytical field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business).
- Experience developing or overseeing advanced quantitative analysis and deriving actionable insights.
- Results- and detail-oriented, with strong commercial/business acumen. Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or graduate degree in an analytical field.
- Experience in consumer retail, telcos, optical, and/or DTC.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and driving initiatives in a cross-functional environment.
- Experience supporting diverse communities.
- International experience and/or multicultural skills.
Key Projects / Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Business planning and operations for the consumer team.
- Focus on third-party retail and telco channels.
- Primarily supporting the telco team across business planning, reporting, data analytics, annual planning, launches, and managing end-to-end flows.
- Ensuring the sales team is prepared and ready.
- Cross-functional partners: product teams, distribution teams.
- Core stakeholders: business leaders; this role will act as a strategic partner.
- Peers in similar roles for other consumer segments.
