Performance Creative Strategist (Direct Response / Trading)
Pay Rate:
£500 – £541.67 per day (Inside IR35 – Umbrella Only)
Location:
Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week in Osterley, West London
Reports to:
Director of Brand Strategy and Advertising Planning
Role Overview
We are looking for a Performance Creative Strategist with hands-on experience in Direct Response (DR), bottom-of-funnel conversion, and trading communications. This role is built for a performance marketer who understands how to build, test, and optimise paid social creative that drives direct conversion, lower CPA, and measurable ROI.
While operating within an established brand ecosystem, your primary focus is trading performance: leveraging campaign metrics, conversion data, and bottom-funnel messaging frameworks across Meta, TikTok, and digital paid channels. Additionally, you will champion the integration of AI-powered tools to enhance dynamic ad creation, iterative creative testing, and messaging efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance & Direct Response Creative Strategy
- Develop direct response creative approaches designed specifically to drive conversions, lower CPA, and maximise ROI across paid social channels.
- Translate bottom-funnel campaign data and performance metrics into actionable creative iterations and ad variations.
- Trading Comms & Messaging Frameworks
- Build bespoke messaging frameworks for digital platforms that drive immediate action while aligning with trading directives.
- Ensure creative execution is focused on conversion and bottom-funnel messaging rather than high-funnel brand awareness alone.
- Platform Expertise & Executional Best Practices
- Own direct response creative best practices across Meta, TikTok, and performance channels.
- Partner with media buyers, performance marketers, and trading teams to continuously optimise creative against bidding strategies and audience targeting.
- AI-Driven Optimisation
- Test and deploy generative AI, LLMs, and dynamic content tools to streamline asset production, dynamic creative testing, and messaging iteration.
- Collaboration & Performance Reporting
- Work closely with performance marketing, analytics, and trading teams to deliver integrated, conversion-focused campaigns.
- Present campaign performance data, creative insights, and ROI metrics to key business stakeholders with clarity.
Skills & Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in performance marketing and direct response creative strategy.
- Proven track record driving measurable conversion outcomes (CVR, CTR, CPA, ROAS) across Meta and TikTok.
- Deep understanding of trading communications, bottom-funnel conversion strategies, and ad testing frameworks.
- Practical familiarity with AI marketing applications, generative AI tools, and dynamic creative automation.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate conversion data into creative decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
