We’re hiring an experienced Social Media Escalations & Crisis Comms Associate to step into a fast-paced medical leave cover role. This is a hands-on position for someone who can hit the ground running and confidently manage urgent social media issues, crisis response, and executive communications.
The Role
- Monitor social media for high-risk issues and urgent escalations
- Manage social media escalations and crisis incidents end to end
- Deliver executive updates within a 45-minute SLA (issue, actions, next steps)
- Advise on when to respond externally vs handle issues internally
- Support internal and external comms during technical incidents or outages
- Provide clear guidance to global support agents handling urgent social issues
- Analyse trends and surface recurring risks
- Take part in an on-call incident rotation (weekends every 3–4 weeks)
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years’ experience in crisis communications, social escalations, PR or external comms
- Strong editorial judgement, copywriting and tone-of-voice skills
- Proven experience managing high-pressure, time-sensitive issues
- Confident working with senior and executive stakeholders
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluent English
Nice to Have
- PR or reputation management background
- Experience in consumer-facing digital platforms or global operations
- Agency experience
- Additional languages (Spanish, Portuguese, German or French)
