We are recruiting on behalf of a world-leading technology company known for its innovation in product and design. The team is seeking a highly skilled Art Director with a passion for content and entertainment to join their London-based team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in shaping the creative vision for premium entertainment content across EMEA, developing compelling cross-content campaigns, and creating platform artwork that resonates with millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Origination: Lead the ideation, development, and execution of cross-content campaign concepts for digital platforms and services across EMEA.
  • Visual Toolkit Development: Create and deliver flexible, scalable brand toolkits and guidelines tailored for multiple platforms.
  • Platform Artwork Creation: Design high-impact platform visuals for premium and original content, ensuring adherence to brand standards and enhancing content discoverability.
  • Collaborative Partnership: Work cross-functionally with internal teams including Creative Directors, Designers, Motion Leads, Producers, Marketing, and Localisation teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise effectively with external agencies and vendors to ensure creative excellence and timely project delivery.
  • Creative Articulation: Confidently present and articulate creative concepts and design rationale to stakeholders across the business.
  • Brand Guardianship: Uphold the brand’s visual identity and maintain consistency and innovation across all deliverables.
  • Strategic Design Thinking: Develop design solutions that align with business strategy, particularly within entertainment and product marketing.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay current on design trends, cultural shifts, and industry innovations to inform and elevate the creative process.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience as an Art Director within fast-paced creative environments.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing campaign ideation, design systems, visual storytelling, and toolkit development.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Deep understanding of typography, layout, branding, and visual hierarchy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design thinking.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently under tight deadlines.
  • A genuine passion for film, TV, and entertainment.

Bonus (Preferred But Not Required)

  • Experience with motion graphics and tools like After Effects.
  • Advanced typographic and layout design skills.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing trends and platform-specific creative best practices.
