We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our client’s finance team.

In this role, you won’t just manage numbers; you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the financial health and compliance of key entities, driving critical reporting, and providing strategic insights that empower informed decision-making across the organisation.

Your contributions will be vital in maintaining robust financial controls and supporting the company’s ambitious growth objectives.

  • What You’ll Do: Responsibilities That Drive Impact
  • Assume full ownership and oversight of entity month-end close activities and comprehensive financial reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with international accounting shared services centers and internal governance teams to ensure timely and accurate entity close processes.
  • Calculate and post complex or unique journal entries and meticulously complete balance sheet reconciliations as needed.
  • Review month-end close activities performed by other team members, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Conduct monthly profit and loss and balance sheet analytical reviews, providing insightful commentary and trend analysis on revenue, and facilitating close reviews with financial planning and other key stakeholders.
  • Present quarterly balance sheet fluctuation commentary to the Chief Accounting Officer, offering clear explanations and strategic insights.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company accounting policies and procedures.
  • Research and prepare technical accounting position papers on local accounting issues, encompassing various accounting standards, and assess the impact of new or changing accounting standards on the entity.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the annual statutory audit with external auditors and provide essential support for regular internal audits.
  • Prepare statutory bridge reconciliations from international accounting standards to local accounting standards on the secondary ledger.
  • Prepare annual statutory financial statements, collaborating with local accounting and tax advisors, and present results to the Chief Accounting Officer.
  • Own the transfer pricing process for the entity, working with internal tax teams to ensure appropriate agreements are in place, assessing local business changes that may impact the current structure, and ensuring timely calculation and settlement.
  • Drive the completion and filing of corporate tax returns, liaising with external advisors and internal tax teams.
  • Drive the completion and filing of indirect tax returns, coordinating with external advisors and internal teams as necessary.
  • Participate in researching technical taxation issues affecting the regional legal entity, ensuring full documentation of conclusions and positions in white papers.
  • Complete statutory and taxation checklists to support the accurate filing of corporate and statutory returns.
  • Take full ownership of all other statutory compliance filings for the entity, including researching and documenting processes for each filing.
  • Assist with legal entity structuring, including the creation, liquidation, and dissolution of legal entities as required to maintain an optimal group structure.
  • Support other specific regulatory compliance requirements of the entity as needed.
  • Participate in cross-training and provide coverage for other areas of responsibility within the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Form strong working relationships with various cross-functional business partners including financial planning, governance, treasury, and legal teams, as well as go-to-market and strategic partnership teams.

  • Proven relevant experience in a dynamic accounting role.
  • Qualified accountant designation (e. g., CA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • Strong technical and financial accounting expertise, including proficiency in various international and local accounting standards.
  • Exceptional technical accounting skills, with the ability to research and understand complex technical details, and effectively interpret and present them in clear, understandable terms to both finance and non-finance business partners.
  • Analytical thinker capable of identifying and implementing effective process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with large accounting software packages (e. g., Oracle or similar enterprise systems) is preferred.
