We're looking for a full-time Boat Sales Broker to join our growing new and used boat sales business. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic entrepreneurial self-starter who will play a key role in expanding our boat sales business in the Midlands region. You'll be based out of Crick Waterside & Marina.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of annual boat sales budget.
  • Establish and grow our boat sale business in the Midlands region, achieving monthly targets and KPIs including boat sales and new listings.
  • Build effective working relationships with the Marina Managers and Waterside Crew within the marinas in the region to maximise opportunities from Aquavista’s existing moorers.
  • Drive new business outside of Aquavista marinas through a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities, customers, and leads.
  • Build relationships with boat sellers and buyers, understanding their preferences, budget, and requirements to maximise all sales opportunities.
  • Maintain reports, update CRM database accurately, and provide regular sales reports including forecasting.
  • Deliver best-in-class customer service management, ensuring high standards of customer care are maintained for all touchpoints within the customer journey.
  • Undertake valuations and monitor the valuation to new listings conversion rate and ways to improve.
  • Act as a point of contact for vendors, providing timely updates, answering enquiries, and arranging and conducting viewings.
  • Assist in creating detailed listings for boats, including specifications, features, and high-quality photographs and videos.
  • Effectively assist in negotiating deals between buyers and sellers, ensuring that transactions meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Build effective relationships with the Marina teams to ensure a joined-up approach in all aspects of the Boat Sales customer journey.
  • Provide training and support to our Marina teams on boat sales.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote boat listings through various channels, such as websites, Facebook, and industry events, and assist with marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness and lead generation.

What we’ll need from you:

  • Experienced at new business sales with a proven track record of converting leads into sales.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to engage in pursuing new business with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • A natural relationship builder with a customer service-oriented mindset and a passion for exceeding customer expectations.
  • Skilled at building effective relationships at all levels with strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Organised with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise tasks.
  • Professional and presentable.
  • Full driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and Bank Holidays where required.

What would help:

  • Experience and time spent on the water and around different types of boats is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous sales experience for high ticket items such as Boats, Motorhomes, Caravans, Cars, or Property would be advantageous.
