Technical Estimator - Water Hygiene & Remedial Works

Salary: 40k - 45k depending on experience
About the Role
We're looking for a Technical Estimator to join our growing Aqualytix business, supporting the pricing and development of water hygiene remedial works and wider water treatment services.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical understanding of water systems who enjoys problem-solving, working with detail and turning technical requirements into accurate, commercially competitive proposals.
Initially, you'll play a key role in supporting remedial works quotations for one of our major customer contracts, before developing your involvement across our broader portfolio of services and customers.
As part of Severn Trent Services, Aqualytix provides specialist water hygiene, Legionella compliance and water treatment solutions to organisations across the UK.
What You'll Be Doing
- Reviewing Legionella risk assessments, technical reports and site surveys to identify and scope remedial works.
- Preparing accurate quotations covering labour, materials, equipment and subcontractor requirements.
- Pricing works such as plumbing modifications, TMV replacements, tank works and other water hygiene improvements.
- Working with our Operations and Technical teams to ensure quotations are practical, deliverable and commercially sound.
- Managing quotation requests and ensuring timely responses to support customer requirements.
- Supporting wider estimating activity across our water hygiene and treatment services.
- Helping improve our pricing processes, consistency and commercial performance.
What We're Looking For
Ideally, experience in water hygiene, Legionella control, plumbing remedials.
You may already be working as an Estimator, or perhaps you're an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer, Supervisor, Legionella Risk Assessor or Technical Coordinator looking to move into a more commercially focused role.
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Strong practical understanding of water systems and common remedial requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical reports and accurately scope work.
- Good numerical skills and commercial awareness.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Confidence using Excel and other business systems.
- The ability to work collaboratively with commercial and operational colleagues.
Previous estimating experience would be beneficial, but we're equally interested in candidates with the right technical background and the ability to develop their estimating skills.
