At Aqualogic, we’re currently working on a number of new exciting projects. We require motivated leakage professionals to join our pioneering teams across the country, providing Water Network Leak Detection to UK water companies. The successful candidates must have extensive leak detection experience, a keen attention to detail and the ability to work accurately whilst ensuring KPIs are met. The role will require using your expertise to resolve complex operational issues that will include detecting both proactive and reactive leaks on our clients’ network using a combination of methods. This position will suit an experienced leakage engineer who wants to progress and support growth and technology.
As an Advanced Leakage Engineer in the South West region, you will be expected to conduct both pro‑active and reactive leak detection duties through targeted data analysis. You will work as part of a specialist regional team delivering transitional leak reduction through both trunk main and distribution network surveys. You will be expected to maintain a consistent high‑level performance, ensuring daily targets of data capture are achieved without compromise on quality. The role requires previous experience in leak detection activities, with advanced knowledge of leakage practice and technology.
We will expect you to:
- Detect and pinpoint leaks on trunk main and/or distribution networks.
- Work both independently or as part of a team in urban and rural environments.
- Use provided Leak Noise Correlator to verify points of interest.
- Undertake valve operations and step tests as required.
- Liaise with clients and project management in adding verified leaks to client management systems.
- Be professional, remembering you represent both Aqualogic & the client at all times.
- Be prepared to travel to various sites throughout the client’s network.
- Work to achieve set performance indicators.
- Assist in improving processes, procedures, and productivity.
Skills & Experience highly beneficial for this role:
- Used to working outdoors with extensive environmental/mechanical knowledge of water distribution systems specialising in leak detection.
- Knowledge of utility tracing, noise logging and step‑testing planning/operation and experience of leakage monitoring.
- Good all‑round knowledge of water network hydraulics and leakage detection techniques.
- A clean UK driving licence.
- Vocational achievements NVQ/C&G. Water Hygiene, Street works and Manual handling accreditation.
