Location & Travel Requirements
The long-term base for this role will be in Carrickfergus. However, during an initial transition period, there will be a requirement to work from and travel to Newtownards to support current operations. The business is currently operating across both locations, with a planned full transition to Carrickfergus expected by October. Flexibility during this period will be essential to support operational continuity.
Role Purpose
The Stock Control Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, ensuring strong data integrity, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. This role plays a key part in monitoring stock levels, investigating discrepancies, and improving processes to ensure reliable stock accuracy and availability. Working closely with warehouse, procurement, and customer-facing teams, the Stock Controller helps ensure that stock data is accurate, well-managed, and supports the wider operational and commercial needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock Control & Accuracy
- Conduct regular stock checks, including weekly reviews of key and low-stock items, ensuring accurate system visibility.
- Investigate stock discrepancies (e.g. missing stock, pick errors, mis-picks), identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Complete routine stock reviews (including BIBO where applicable) and validate adjustments before processing.
- Support periodic stock counts and year-end processes to ensure overall stock accuracy.
- Data Integrity & Systems Management
- Take ownership of stock data across systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and traceability.
- Maintain and update product information, codes, and records in line with business requirements.
- Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded and reflected in relevant systems.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in stock processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of effective stock control procedures and internal controls.
- General Support
- Work collaboratively with warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams to resolve stock-related queries.
- Provide general administrative support related to stock control and inventory management.
- Support the wider operations team as required.

Essential Criteria
- 1 year previous experience in a stock control or inventory role
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data handling
- Experience investigating discrepancies and working with stock or inventory systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and IT skills, including the ability to manipulate data, create and use formulas, and manage spreadsheets efficiently
- Experience using ERP and WMS systems.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Willingness to support operational tasks where required
