As we continue to invest in strategic growth, we are seeking an Account Manager to develop and strengthen our partnerships with buying groups and their member branches across Northern Ireland.
Role Purpose
The Account Manager is responsible for the delivery of profitable sales growth across a portfolio of strategically important accounts. The role will be responsible for achieving sales and growth targets through effective account management, commercial planning and relationship development. Working closely with the Head of Sales, the successful candidate will identify new growth opportunities, increase product penetration and strengthen Aqualla's position within these customer accounts. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious sales professional who is ready to take ownership and management of a significant established customer portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management & Customer Development
- Ownership of accounts, delivering agreed sales, margin and growth targets.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans that identify opportunities for sustainable revenue growth and increased market share.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with buying group contacts and member branches.
- Build trust and loyalty with customers by providing exceptional service and positioning Aqualla as a valued business partner.
- Identify and convert opportunities to increase product penetration and grow sales within existing accounts.
- Maintain regular contact with customers through planned visits, calls and follow-up activity.
- Promote new products, product launches, promotions and commercial initiatives.
- Prepare customer presentations where required.
- Deliver and support customer training and product awareness as required.
- Customer Experience & Brand Representation
- Deliver best-in-class customer service, responding promptly to customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally.
- Lead regular business reviews with key customer contacts to evaluate performance, identify opportunities and agree future growth plans.
- Ensure showroom displays, merchandising and product presentation meet company standards.
- Support merchandising initiatives and promotional campaigns that strengthen brand awareness.
- Represent Aqualla professionally at customer meetings, trade events and exhibitions.
- Planning, Reporting & Organisation
- Maintain accurate customer records, pricing information and sales activity using business reporting systems.
- Produce regular call reports, account updates and sales forecasts.
- Plan customer visits effectively to maximise time and commercial opportunity.
- Manage expenses in line with company policy.
- Maintain awareness of competitor activity, market trends and customer feedback, sharing insights with the wider sales team.
- Take ownership of personal development, actively building product knowledge, sales capability and commercial understanding.

Criteria
- Field sales experience.
- Experience within a bathroom showroom, plumbing merchant, builders' merchant or similar customer-facing sales environment is highly desirable.
- Experience in retail sales, internal sales, trade counter sales or account management.
- Knowledge of the bathroom, plumbing or KBB industry.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Excellent relationship-building and customer service skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commercial awareness with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
- Well organised with effective planning and time management skills.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Competent using Microsoft Office.
