We Care. That’s why we need people like you. People who appreciate their role in helping others to be successful.
The Role… Work orders rely on being planned successfully and this is your opportunity to be there at the beginning, to map out what needs to be achieved. You’ll communicate with various colleagues and customers, to ensure requirements and expectations are clearly defined. These requirements will then need to be translated into accurate and concise work instructions for our operational teams.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved in:
- Planning activities for operational teams using various systems.
- Monitoring work output from beginning to completion, ensuring progress is recorded and communicated regularly.
- Acting as the first point of contact for operations colleagues, to help provide resolutions to any issues.
- Processing, raising and closing traffic management, footway, road closures, notice and permit requests.
We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate:
- Relevant experience working in a fast-paced environment, where you have assessed and made quick decisions.
- Highly developed organisational and communication skills and an enjoyment of dealing with lots of different people.
- Computer literacy and being customer oriented are a pre-requisite.
Our Company: Every day we work smarter, greener and use our imaginations. Our purpose is simple - we make life better for everyone’s growing families. We play a vital role in providing fresh drinking water and power to millions of homes and businesses and so much more. We are one of the biggest family owned construction businesses in the UK and we care about our people, our clients and the environment.
What Next: You apply, and we respond within two weeks (we know how annoying it is not to hear anything back)! If you don’t receive feedback within that timescale, please don’t be afraid to chase us - one of our values is to do what we say we will do!
Benefits: In addition to helping you reach your career goals, a competitive salary, pension, healthcare and holiday allowance starting at 24-26 days per annum, we also offer perks including Xtras, our employee benefits programme with discounts for numerous well-known retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Currys PC World and Vue Cinemas, cycle to work scheme as well as an Employee Assistance Programme.
