Aqua-Tech are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) with a strong background in the water industry to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out full main QS functions, managing Compensation Events (CEs), and preparing and reviewing quotations in line with contract requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS who is confident managing projects independently and working closely with operational teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out full main Quantity Surveyor duties across assigned projects
  • Manage and administer Compensation Events (CEs), including identification, pricing, submission, and agreement
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate quotations and cost submissions
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, and forecasts
  • Undertake valuations and applications for payment
  • Assess subcontractor applications and manage subcontract accounts
  • Provide commercial advice to project managers and operational teams
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms (e.g., NEC or other relevant forms)

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the water industry
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (or similar)
  • Demonstrable experience managing Compensation Events
  • Experience preparing and reviewing detailed quotations

Desirable:

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (or equivalent experience)
  • Membership (or working towards membership) of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS)
  • Experience working with Tier 1 contractors or framework agreements
