Commissioning Engineer β Electrical / Instrumentation
Location: East Kilbride β Scotland-wide site travel
Contract: 3 Months
Rate: Day Rate β Dependent on Experience (DOE)
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our client on an initial 3-month contract, based in East Kilbride, with travel to sites throughout Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased Commissioning Engineer with experience in the water industry, particularly those familiar with Scottish Water projects and associated infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out commissioning activities across electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Work with MCCs, electrical control systems and associated equipment.
- Undertake testing, fault finding and commissioning to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Support site installation, commissioning and handover activities.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant safety procedures and industry standards.
- Complete commissioning documentation, test records and reports.
- Travel to various sites throughout Scotland as required.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Electrically biased Commissioning Engineer with relevant industry experience.
- Practical experience with instrumentation, MCCs and electrical systems.
- Previous experience working within the water or wastewater industry.
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
- Full understanding of site health and safety requirements.
- Flexibility to travel throughout Scotland.
- Scottish Water experience would be highly advantageous.
