As our Assistant General Manager, you will be guiding a dynamic team of restaurant professionals with one common goal - to create a memorable dining experience for our guests. This is a 48-hour contract, full-time position. We are looking for an Assistant General Manager to lead the team by example on the floor, delivering exceptional guest experiences while always upholding Hutong's service standards.
The ideal candidate will take ownership of daily operations, anticipate challenges and resolve them proactively without compromising quality or consistency. We are looking for a strong people leader who can inspire, coach and develop the team while fostering a positive and professional working culture. Attention to detail, financial awareness and a clear understanding of cost control are essential in supporting the restaurant's overall performance. Above all, we expect the Assistant General Manager to be passionate about hospitality, adaptable in a fast-paced environment and fully aligned with Hutong's brand values.
Where are we located? Situated on Level 33 of The Shard, the UK's tallest building, Hutong delivers an exceptional Northern Chinese dining experience with stunning views of London.

Your Day At Aqua
- Team guidance & development: You will lead by example, inspiring and motivating our team to deliver an exceptional service. Your support in hiring, training, and developing staff will ensure they reach their full potential.
- Operational excellence: You will assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service by implementing and upholding company policies and procedures.
You will be paid £30,534.76 per annum. In addition, you can be a part of the venue's Tronc system, which may give you up to between £34,465.24 and £39,465.24 extra per year. The Tronc system is managed by the Tronc Master.
