Aqua Healthcare are seeking a Medical Secretary to support a GP Surgery in Brighton on a temporary basis.
Location: Brighton
Start Date: May 2026
Contract Type: Temporary (Locum)
Days Required: 4 days per week (flexible on which days)
Hours: 8.30am until 5.30pm
Hourly Rate: £12.71 - £13.93 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Requirements:
- Previous medical secretarial experience, ideally within primary care
- Experience using eRS (NHS e-Referral Service)
- Knowledge of System One is preferable but not essential
Duties:
- Audio typing and processing GP dictations, prioritising urgent and Two Week Wait (2WW) referrals
- Preparing and sending referrals using System One and eRS
- Managing and actioning clinical tasks received from GPs, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists and administrative teams
- Processing referrals generated from clinical letters and correspondence
- Ensuring patient records are updated accurately and confidential information is handled in line with NHS policies
