The Company established in 2001, Aqua design, supply and install innovative temperature control solutions across the UK. Our Sales, Hire and Service teams support customers from every industry sector, whether purchasing, hiring or maintaining equipment. Products include process chillers, adiabatic, dry air & free coolers, cooling towers, temperature control units, boilers, air conditioning units and portable heaters. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a highly motivated Internal Sales Engineer to join the team. This role provides full training, development opportunities, and close collaboration with Sales, Engineering and Commercial functions.

Main Duties
  • Technical & Commercial Support
  • Evaluate incoming enquiries to ensure all technical and commercial information is complete and accurate.
  • Prepare detailed quotations for tender submissions, ensuring clarity, accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Work closely with in-house engineering teams and external specialists to prepare robust documentation, technical proposals and costings.
  • Provide internal technical support to the sales team across all sales-related activities.
  • Assist with daily sales enquiries, providing timely and professional responses.
  • Maintain accurate records of all tenders, quotations and associated documentation.
  • Monitor and manage the shared Sales email inbox to ensure prompt handling of all enquiries.
  • Project manage customer orders with support from the Commercial team, ensuring smooth handover and internal alignment.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with key suppliers, developing a strong understanding of their products and services.
  • Support customer communication where required, including order clarification, specification queries and contract reviews.
  • Input, maintain and update all relevant CRM data to ensure accurate pipeline, quotation and activity tracking.
  • Develop, improve and maintain internal tools and documents used by the Sales department.
  • Lead Generation & Account Support
    • Engage with new and existing customers to identify sales opportunities.
    • Support Senior Sales Engineers, including occasional customer site visits.
    • Assist with account management activity as skills and confidence develop.
    • Contribute to solution design work including equipment specification, AutoCAD layouts, cooling process design and energy-saving assessments.
    Person Specification

    You should be driven, ambitious and eager to learn about our products, applications and the wider temperature control industry. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and a customer-focused mindset are essential. A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) is preferred but not essential for candidates with relevant technical aptitude.

    Full time: 37.5 hours per week based at our head office in Chandler’s Ford.
