We are looking for ambitious Senior Advisory Consultants to play an important role in developing our Advisory Services capability, whilst helping clients maximise the value from their assets and adapt to long-term challenges. The role will predominantly be working within the Water and Energy industries but may cover wider utilities and infrastructure.
Our Advisory Consultants work across several capabilities including Business Strategy, Asset Management, Environmental Services, and Economic Services. Collectively they provide advisory services to our infrastructure clients in the UK. You will focus on areas such as regulatory business planning, asset strategy, service delivery, risk management, and environmental advisory on capital projects. You will also provide support to the wider Aqua Consultants business in consulting best practice.
This is a senior consultant role and the post holder may be seconded into one of Aqua’s clients on a part time or full time, occasional or permanent basis.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES- Support the development of justified and efficient (regulatory) business plans
- Support the development and implementation of asset management plans and strategies
- Progress on the journey of asset management maturity
- Improving and making best use of asset data to deliver the right business solution
- Support the development of long-term adaptive strategies
- Ensure appropriate governances and assurances structures are in place
- Delivering projects to excellent time and quality
- Analyse data to produce trends and drive decision making
- Organise meetings and workshops with clients
- Author reports and presentations to enable informed decision making for the client and internal teams
- Contribute to business development activity by contributing to bids and proposals
- Typically over 4yrs relevant professional experience in infrastructure management in the water, gas, or electricity industries
- Detailed knowledge and experience in physical asset management within a regulated sector with an awareness of other disciplines/sectors
- Uses best practice and wider knowledge to develop innovative solutions
- Able to lead projects
- Able to work independently and provide support to less experienced team members
- Contribute to business development activity by supporting bids and proposals
- Develops and maintains client and stakeholder relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Relevant professional training or chartership
