We are seeking a Programme Manager with considerable experience of delivering projects within the water or other utility sectors to join an expanding team and company. The successful person will oversee and drive the successful delivery of high-profile, complex programmes, ensuring strategic alignment, resource optimisation, and stakeholder satisfaction.
What else will the Programme Manager do:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic programmes, ensuring objectives are met
- Define and manage programme governance structures
- Align programmes with organisational goals and client requirements
- Directly manage Senior Project Managers and oversee multidisciplinary teams
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients and stakeholders
- Driving revenue
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Strategically allocate resources across projects, ensuring optimal utilisation
- Forecast resource needs and develop strategies to support long-term organisational growth
- Monitor and report on programme performance, delivering data-driven insights
- Prepare executive-level reports
- Drive process optimisation initiatives to enhance efficiency and delivery excellence
- Champion the adoption of innovative tools, technologies, and methodologies
- Embed sustainability principles across programmes
- Support the organisation's digital transformation agenda
About you:
- Proven experience in leading large, complex programmes across multiple sectors
- Strong leadership capabilities with a strategic mindset and exceptional communication skills
- Expertise in stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and financial governance
- Proficiency in project and programme management tools, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and advanced digital platforms
Desirable Skills:
- APM, MSP, or equivalent programme management qualification
- NEC3/4 accreditation or similar certification
- Experience in the water, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
- Advanced knowledge of project dashboards and data visualisation tools
