Aqua Consultants is seeking an experienced Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects for United Utilities and the wider water sector. This is a key technical and leadership role within a collaborative EICA team, offering real influence over design quality, people development, and client relationships.
The Role:
- Lead delivery of EICA design across feasibility, outline and detailed design stages
- Produce and review electrical, instrumentation, control and automation deliverables
- Manage and mentor junior engineers and coordinate CAD resources
- Support fee proposals, workload planning, and technical reviews
- Act as a trusted technical interface for clients and delivery partners
What You’ll Be Working On:
- Water & wastewater treatment plants
- MCCs, LV/HV systems, SCADA & telemetry
- Hazard studies (HAZOP, HAZCON, DSEAR)
- CAPEX/OPEX-led design decision making
Essential Experience:
- Strong EICA background within the water / utilities sector
- Proven experience across feasibility to detailed design
- Client-facing capability and commercial awareness
- Degree-qualified (BEng/BSc or equivalent)
- Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership
