The Portfolio Solutions Group is part of AQR’s Business Development department. The team’s mission is to address the wider portfolio challenges of our clients and the wider investor community, by producing pioneering thought leadership, such as papers and presentations, and by running custom analyses for individual clients covering a wide range of asset allocation and investment selection decisions.
We are currently seeking a Portfolio Solutions Associate who will help us develop and deliver customized analyses across an exceptionally broad range of investing topics and asset classes, and provide support for whitepapers and presentations for AQR clients. Responsibilities include:
- Providing support to senior members of the Portfolio Solutions Group, whose objective is to deepen relationships with investors through value-added analysis and thought leadership.
- Building and maintaining analytical tools using Excel and/or Python.
- Performing a range of customized portfolio analyses in response to investor requests.
- Developing strong AQR product and multi-asset asset class knowledge and demonstrating interest in the broad field of investing.
- Liaising with other members of AQR (sales, marketing, research, portfolio management) across a variety of projects – asset class modeling, tool/infrastructure development, content creation, white papers analyses and distribution.
- Creating and maintaining up-to-date, high quality presentation materials.
What You’ll Bring:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business or a Science, Quantitative, or Engineering Program from a top university is preferred. Other degrees with appropriate work experience may also be considered.
- 3-5 years of relevant post-undergraduate experience at an investment management or asset management firm is preferred.
- High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Coding proficiency, especially in Python, is a plus.
