About AQEMIA
AQEMIA is a drug invention company dedicated to creating entirely new medicines to address major unmet medical needs. At the core of our mission is QEMI, our proprietary molecule‑invention platform, which uniquely combines cutting‑edge science with advanced technology. Powered by physics‑based modeling, statistical mechanics, and generative AI, QEMI allows our teams to design novel drug candidates from first principles. What makes AQEMIA different is our commitment to true innovation: our research is dedicated to the invention of new molecular entities, not the refinement of existing ones. We focus on inventing never‑before‑seen molecules, without relying on experimental data, and advancing them into a growing pipeline of proprietary programs and strategic partnerships with leading pharmaceutical companies. Our most advanced preclinical programs are currently in vivo optimization, targeting diseases still waiting for effective treatments, offering our teams the opportunity to work on science that can make a real difference in people’s lives.
About our Team
AQEMIA brings together a diverse, multidisciplinary team of 65+ professionals based in Paris and London. Our scientists and engineers, including chemists, physicists, machine learning experts, and software engineers, work side by side to push the boundaries of early‑stage drug discovery. This close collaboration across disciplines is central to our approach, enabling us to tackle complex scientific challenges from first principles and translate cutting‑edge ideas into novel therapeutic candidates. At AQEMIA, team members are encouraged to contribute their expertise, learn from one another, and play an active role in shaping the future of drug invention.
About This Role
We’re looking for a Talent Operations & Sourcing Associate to become the operational backbone of our Talent function. You’ll work closely with our Senior Talent Partner to keep searches running smoothly, pipelines clean, candidates engaged, and the team organised. This is a role for someone who loves structure, thrives in fast‑moving environments, and gets energy from making things work better. You’ll have real ownership, real impact, and a front‑row seat to how hiring happens inside a deep‑tech scale‑up. You won’t be “just supporting” – you’ll be the person who keeps the engine running.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operational Ownership: Keep our ATS tidy, pipelines updated, and processes running smoothly across multiple roles and teams.
- Sourcing Support: Help identify candidates across LinkedIn, GitHub, and open‑web channels for niche scientific and AI roles.
- Candidate Experience: Coordinate interviews, manage communication, and ensure every candidate feels respected and informed.
- JD & Documentation Support: Draft job descriptions, update templates, and help maintain hiring documentation.
- Data & Reporting: Track funnel metrics, flag bottlenecks, and help us stay aligned with hiring priorities.
- Project Support: Assist with ad‑hoc talent projects – from market mapping to employer branding initiatives.
- Onboarding & Office Integration: Support new hires during their first days and help maintain a welcoming, organised office environment.
You Could Be a Great Fit If
- You’ve studied something people‑focused — maybe a BSc/MSc in HR, Psychology, Business, or another field that sparked your interest in how teams grow. Or you’ve gained hands‑on experience in an agency, in‑house talent team, or a fast‑moving startup environment.
- You’re organised and proactive – you love structure and get satisfaction from keeping things running smoothly.
- You’re curious about sourcing – you don’t need to be an expert, just excited to learn.
- You communicate with warmth – candidates feel safe and respected when they interact with you.
- You enjoy being the “glue” – the person who quietly keeps everything on track.
- You thrive in fast‑paced environments – priorities shift, and you adapt with a smile.
- You care about details – accuracy matters to you.
Bonus Skills
- Experience in deep tech, biotech, AI, or scientific environments.
- Prior experience in a scaling startup or fast‑growing company.
Why this role might not fit
- You need constant direction – you’ll have support, but you’ll also own your day.
- You don’t enjoy multitasking – we juggle a lot of roles at once.
Why This Role Matters
You’ll be the person who ensures candidates feel cared for, hiring managers feel supported, and the Talent team can operate at its best. Your work will directly influence how fast we can grow and how strong our teams become. This isn’t a background role – it’s a force‑multiplier role.
Why Join Us?
At AQEMIA, we work for a mission: joining us means having your own impact on changing the way drugs are discovered, and helping to shape the direction of our fast‑growing company and team.
- Expanding Drug Discovery Pipeline: Focused on critical therapeutic areas like Oncology, CNS, Immuno‑inflammation… with in vivo proof of concept/patent stage programs.
- Collaborations with top Pharma: including a $140M Sanofi deal.
- Interdisciplinary Team: brilliant talent from tech and life sciences.
- DeepTech Recognition: Part of French Tech 120 and France 2030.
- Prime Location: Based in central Paris and London (King’s Cross) with the possibility of 2 remote days per week.
- International Environment: The work language is English – relocation support and French lessons granted if needed.
