The Recruitment Lead is aligned to business units within AQA and is their key point of contact and expertise to help define current and horizon recruitment planning. They will deliver high engagement attraction strategies that position AQA as an employer of choice. They will develop and implement talent pipelines in line with AQA’s EDI objectives.

Core Recruitment sits within the wider Resourcing and Talent team, within People Group. Working closely with HRBPs and HR Advisors, Core Recruitment provides a bespoke recruitment service across all business units. While delivery is key, the team also focuses on marketing mapping and creating highly engaged, external and internal talent pipelines. In 2021/2022, the team delivered approximately 300 hires, with about 60% being internal moves. We use Workday as our ATS and Teams/Outlook for virtual communications.

Activities:

  • Work closely with HRBPs and assigned business areas to understand, lead, and deliver on current and future recruitment needs, creating a clear roadmap of attraction solutions.
  • Create a positive candidate and hiring manager experience, attracting and retaining top talent.
  • Provide coaching to hiring managers from role specification to onboarding.
  • Act as a Brand Ambassador for AQA, ensuring values are integral to attraction, selection, and offer processes, enhancing the experience for candidates, hiring managers, and recruiters.
  • Partner with Resource Marketing Consultants to advise and influence attraction strategies.
  • Develop and implement talent pipelines across assigned business units.
  • Evaluate recruitment activities to inform continuous improvement.
  • Embed EDI principles in all attraction and selection approaches.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment campaigns within KPIs, utilizing innovative and traditional marketing channels, writing adverts, and assessing campaign success.
  • Manage all aspects of the candidate process, including screening, offers, and managing expectations.
  • Plan and oversee assessment and selection activities, advising hiring managers on best practices.
  • Monitor competitors' activities and respond to differentiate AQA, providing reports and recommendations.
  • Use data and insights to evaluate and improve resourcing effectiveness.
