AQA is recruiting GCSE and A-level examiners for summer 2026. We particularly welcome applications from Business, Economics, English, Geography, Psychology, Philosophy, Religious Studies and Sociology teachers. This flexible role fits alongside a full-time teaching job and is completed online from home.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review student responses and apply the mark scheme accurately and consistently to ensure fair results.
  • Commit an average of 15 to 20 hours a week to marking during the exam period.
  • Complete your marking over approximately one month. Full details of your allocation, deadlines and earnings will be confirmed when you receive your contract.

  • Preferably a degree, teaching qualification or equivalent in your subject.
  • Availability during the marking and standardisation period.
