Productivity Lead – Operational Processes, Logistics and Supplier Management
Location: Guildford, Milton Keynes, Manchester (Hybrid – minimum 2 days per week in office).
Salary: £55,000 – £61,400 (Guildford/Milton Keynes) or £52,800 – £59,000 (Manchester).

About the Role
Help improve how vital assessment materials move through AQA, from supplier workflows to operational delivery.
Identify and lead productivity, quality and efficiency initiatives across operational processes, supplier activity and end‑to‑end workflows, supporting AQA’s goals of delivering high quality, efficient service for learners, schools and colleges.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple productivity, quality and efficiency initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows across operations, logistics, scanning and creation of assessment materials and related activities, including supplier processes.
- Use data, productivity measures and time‑and‑motion studies to understand current performance and recommend improvements.
- Work with teams and suppliers to design, test and embed practical solutions.
- Set baselines, track benefits and report clearly on progress, outcomes and lessons learned.
- Support better resource planning by reviewing task allocation, workforce use and cost drivers.
- Build trust with stakeholders and help teams understand the purpose and value of change.
- Desired Experience & Skills
- Experience improving productivity, workflow or process performance in logistics, operations or supply chain environments.
- Experience working with, or managing, third‑party suppliers and service providers.
- Strong analytical skills to analyse data, identify patterns and translate insight into clear action.
- Experience using project and change‑management approaches to plan, coordinate and deliver improvements.
- Curious, hands‑on mindset with confidence to challenge existing ways of working constructively.
