This role includes an 8-week night-shift period during the summer peak (enhanced pay applies). We’re looking for an Operations Coordinator to join our Scanning Centre team on a fixed-term basis. In this role, you’ll be central to ensuring exam materials move smoothly through our processes from Goods In, through preparation and processing, to secure storage and destruction directly contributing to the success of each examination series.
- Lead on Goods In activities, ensuring exam materials are received, checked, and processed accurately during the summer project.
- Supervise and support temporary staff, ensuring processes are followed correctly, performance targets are achieved, and maintain high quality standards.
- Carrying out a range of operational tasks including scanning, warehouse activities, stock control, and secure script destruction.
- Maintaining a safe, organised, and compliant work environment in line with Health & Safety requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to refine processes and ways of working.
Receive full training, including Electric Power Truck (EPT) and Pump Truck operation, along with training across additional Scanning Centre processes.
Experience in a Goods In or warehouse environment.
Team leadership experience is essential, ideally gained in a busy operational setting.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, high-volume environment.
Strong attention to detail and confidence following instructions accurately.
Flexibility to work different shift patterns, including night shifts during the summer peak.
A proactive, reliable, and collaborative approach.
