By joining the team as a workplace assistant over the busy exam period, you will play a vital role in this by interacting with our colleagues, contractors and visitors.
You would be part of a small and dedicated team working in the heart of our operations ensuring that the buildings run safely and efficiently. This is a role that gives variety to your day, including helping to prepare and set up meeting rooms, managing post distribution, responding to building needs and acting as a point of contact for those working in the office.
Over the exam period you'll find yourself in a fast-paced environment, so it's important you have the ability to prioritise and work flexibly at pace, both independently and alongside the rest of the Workplace Team.
Ideally you'll bring some facilities-based experience with you, but if you’ve had experience in a customer-facing role and are happy to get stuck in we’d love to hear from you! This is a great opportunity to develop skills in office administration, conference support and basic maintenance tasks, all whilst working in our well-equipped offices.
Contract details:
- Location: Offices on the University of Manchester campus, M15 6EX
- Pay: £14.30 per hour
- Contract Dates: 07/04/2026 – 31/08/2026 and 04/05/2026 – 25/09/2026
- Hours: Full time, 35 hours a week Monday to Friday
- Working Pattern: Shifts will be 7 hours long and can fall between 7am - 6pm, depending on business needs
