We’re seeking a Sales & Marketing Assistant for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract in Manchester (£31,400–£35,000). The role is hybrid, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of high-quality sales proposals, bids and tender submissions.
- Research markets, customers and business opportunities to help identify new leads and support growth.
- Maintain customer and sales information within CRM and other business systems.
- Monitor and report on sales, tender and business development activity to support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Coordinate exhibitions, conferences and other marketing events.
- Support the delivery of marketing campaigns, communications and promotional activity.
- Create and maintain marketing materials, website content, newsletters and social media content.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and confidence learning new systems and technology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create engaging content.
- Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high‑quality work.
- Interest in developing a career in business development, marketing or communications.
- Graduate or university degree (Hons) or equivalent; GCSE Maths and English A–C.
- Desirable experience in marketing, sales support, business development or customer‑focused roles; knowledge of education, assessment, training or publishing sectors; understanding of tendering, procurement processes or CRM systems.
