Qualification Product Manager (English)
Location: Manchester (hybrid) | Milton Keynes, London, Guildford – 2 days per week in the office. Salary: £55,000 – £63,000 (Manchester) / £57,000 – £65,500 (other locations).
About the role
As part of AQA’s growing product‑management team, you will use customer insight, data and market understanding to shape and deliver AQA’s English qualifications.
Key responsibilities
- Use customer insight, market understanding and data to inform short, medium and long‑term plans for AQA’s English qualifications.
- Identify opportunities to improve qualifications, resources and support for teachers and learners.
- Coordinate activity across multiple teams (Product Management, Subject Support, Assessment, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations) to support delivery of product plans and strategic projects.
- Monitor progress and support delivery against agreed objectives and timelines.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gather insight, test ideas and refine recommendations.
- Represent AQA at stakeholder events, conferences and customer visits where appropriate.
- What you’ll need
- Knowledge and understanding of English education and the needs of schools, colleges and teachers.
- Experience gained through educational publishing, product development, teaching, curriculum support, marketing or related education‑sector roles.
- Experience using insight to shape products, services, content or customer experiences.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
- Ability to analyse and interpret information from different sources to support decision‑making.
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking at a national level.
