We’re looking for an Operations Coordinator to join our Scanning Centre team on a fixed-term basis. In this role, you’ll be central to ensuring exam materials move smoothly through our processes from Goods In, through preparation and processing, to secure storage and destruction directly contributing to the success of each examination series.

Responsibilities:- Lead on Goods In activities, ensuring exam materials are received, checked, and processed accurately during the summer project.
- Supervise and support temporary staff, ensuring processes are followed correctly, performance targets are achieved, and maintain high quality standards.
- Carrying out a range of operational tasks including scanning, warehouse activities, stock control, and secure script destruction.
- Maintaining a safe, organised, and compliant work environment in line with Health & Safety requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to refine processes and ways of working.
- Receive full training, including Electric Power Truck (EPT) and Pump Truck operation, along with training across additional Scanning Centre processes.
- Achieving high quality standards, maintaining agreed productivity schedules, and contributing to process improvement are all key aspects of the role.
- During each Examination Series, take responsibility for a specific function within the Scanning Centre, supervising a team of temporary workers across day and night shifts.
- Perform core Scanning Centre activities accurately, efficiently, on time and to agreed quality and performance targets.
- Contribute to process design, documentation and implementation.
- Actively contribute to the development of process improvement initiatives and support the implementation of these initiatives within the scanning centre.
- Ensure allocated area follows 5s principles, well organised and complies with all AQA Health & Safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Supervise and mentor temporary staff in line with the culture and values of AQA.
- Monitor quality and performance of the team against the requirements of the project.
- Ensure all labour movement, attendance, absence, leavers etc. are accurately recorded monitored and reported.
- Experience in a Goods In or warehouse environment.
- Team leadership experience is essential, ideally gained in a busy operational setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence following instructions accurately.
- Flexibility to work different shift patterns, including night shifts during the summer peak.
- A proactive, reliable, and collaborative approach.
