The Role
We are looking for a creative, organised, and detail-focused Sports Teamwear Designer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills, a good understanding of sportswear design, and the ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. You will be responsible for creating bespoke kit visuals, setting up artwork for production, preparing customer proofs, developing new design concepts, and supporting the wider team with design assets when required. You will work closely with our sales, customer service, production, and factory teams to help turn customer ideas into professional, production-ready teamwear.
Key Responsibilities
- Create bespoke kit visuals for customers across football, rugby, cricket, netball, and other sports.
- Produce multisport CAD artwork based on customer briefs, club colours, sponsor logos, and brand guidelines.
- Prepare print-ready artwork for sublimation, heat transfer, embroidery, and other personalisation methods.
- Create customer proofs for approval, including names, numbers, badges, sponsors, and colour options.
- Make customer amendments quickly and accurately.
- Develop new seasonal sublimated kit designs and product visuals.
- Create design binders or presentation sheets to showcase bespoke and stock design options.
- Liaise with internal teams and overseas factories regarding artwork approval, production details, and product development.
- Ensure all design work is accurate, commercially suitable, and fit for manufacture.
- Support APX with social media graphics, product launch visuals, club shop artwork, and promotional assets where required.
- Keep up to date with current sportswear, teamwear, and retail kit trends.
What We Are Looking For
Technical Skills
- Strong experience using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Good working knowledge of Adobe PDF.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to create clean, accurate CAD visuals and production artwork.
- Understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and print processes.
- Knowledge of sublimation, heat transfer, embroidery, and sportswear production would be advantageous.
- Ability to follow brand guidelines and customer briefs accurately.
- Experience creating technical production packs would be beneficial.
