APX Life Science is partnered with an innovative biotechnology company progressing a growing clinical development portfolio. We are looking for an experienced Clinical Development Physician / Medical Director to provide medical and scientific leadership across clinical development programmes. This is a highly hands-on opportunity within a growing biotech environment. The successful candidate will work closely with Clinical Operations, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, Biostatistics and other cross-functional teams, providing medical leadership from study design through execution. The role will have significant exposure to senior leadership and external stakeholders, including investigators and key opinion leaders.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD, MBBS, MBChB or equivalent).
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech clinical development experience.
- Strong experience leading or supporting global clinical development programmes.
- Experience taking programmes from early development through first-in-human and/or proof-of-concept studies.
- Strong understanding of ICH-GCP and the clinical trial lifecycle.
- Experience interpreting clinical and safety data and applying sound medical judgement.
- Strong experience reviewing clinical protocols and clinical development documentation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, entrepreneurial biotech environment with evolving processes and priorities.
