We're seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist II to join our team on-site in our Lichfield, UK Office. This role will be responsible for accurately tracking and recording cash flow and for the full cycle of the Accounts Payable process.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review and record invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy in billing
- Vendor Onboarding
- Acquire proper approval for billing and vendor set-up
- Sox compliance
- GL Reconciliations
- Assist with the resolution of discrepancies or problems that prohibit timely ordering of goods and services or timely payment of invoices
- Assist with Bridger reporting as part of Data compliance
- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
- Reconcile Bank Statements
- Fortnightly Payment runs
- Maintain a list of approved vendors and policies to avoid paying unauthorized invoices and expenses
- Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners
- Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field experience preferred, including AAT Level 1
- Highschool diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
- 3-5 years of related experience in Accounts Payable
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of General Ledger systems and Accounts Payable processing
- Understanding of GAAP
Soft Skills:
- Highly motivated self-started with commitment to attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and within a team environment
- Strong organizational, analytical, and recording skills
- Strong attention to detail
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day
- Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day
