An opportunity has arisen for a Water Network Pressure Tester & Chlorinator to join our team. We will provide training through a company program. This is a fantastic chance to build a long-term career with Aptus Utilities.

Overall Purpose of the Role: To provide a full water supply and connections service, including hydrostatic testing, disinfection of mains, and water sampling. The role involves traveling across the country in our high-spec, custom-built vehicles to test new-build properties, ensuring the water supply is safe for residents. Aptus focuses on training the right candidate for the role. Whether you have no experience or extensive experience in utilities, if you're ready for a new challenge, we welcome your application.

What you will be doing:

  • Arranging and supervising pressure tests and chlorination procedures for water networks before adoption by the water authority.
  • Managing non-contestable water operations related to new developments, including diversions, reinforcement, advanced branches, end-on main connections, and service-only connections.
  • Ensuring compliance with the CRMC connection process.
  • Submitting paperwork to enable claiming asset value for constructed and commissioned networks.
  • Conducting water technical audits for pressure testing, chlorination, mains, and service layers.
  • Liaising with Host Water Authority Engineers and contractors.
  • Ordering pressure test and chlorination equipment.

  • Construction experience (desirable).
  • Holding a full driving license.

Training will be provided under the mentorship of the Water Technician and will include: Mains hygiene, SHEA Water, Hydrostatic water testing, Chlorination and sampling, CRMC.
