Principal Business Analyst Aptuit (Verona) Srl Alderley Park
The role will report to the within the Global Commercial Portfolio Management Office (GCPMO).
The primary responsibility of the role is to gather and analyze data, providing tactical and strategic recommendations to support operations and the business overall.
Specifically, the role involves conducting internal Business Analysis with a focus on Drug Discovery and Development Services and Solutions, customers and partners, and the portfolio across Evotec's Global Operations Business Units.
The role requires close collaboration with colleagues within GCPMO and liaison with internal stakeholders, including Scientific Strategy Leaders, Operations, Finance, IT, and Commercial Managers, to provide data-driven insights and recommendations that support business strategy and decision-making.
- Specific responsibilities are
- Implement and continuously improve the analysis of Evotec Global Operations services, products and solutions to support business development and value creation.
Generate and analyze data to support data-driven tactical and strategic decision-making.
- Define, design, maintain and interpret dashboards for operational efficiency KPIs and portfolio management, integrating operational, sales and revenue data.
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI, ensuring accurate, timely and actionable insights to support operational, financial and strategic decision-making.
- Provide predictive business analytics using reporting and visual machine learning tools to support business forecasting and decision-making.
- Define and implement ad hoc metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), proactively developing fit-for-purpose dashboards that enable business performance monitoring and support operational decision-making.
- Provide analytical support to other internal stakeholders, including Corporate and Supporting Functions, as required.
- Drive the identification and implementation of tool enhancements to deliver fit-for-purpose analytical solutions.
- Ensure all analyses are supported by high-quality reporting, clear data interpretation and actionable business insights.
Qualifications, competences and abilities for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Engineering, Economics, Statistics or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience working within pharmaceutical Industry in similar positions is preferred.
- Good knowledge of drug discovery and development processes.
- Good understanding of business operations and financial principles.
- Strong business analysis, analytical thinking and data management skills.
- Good knowledge market analysis methodologies, business intelligence, analytics and predictive modelling tools.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard development, data visualization, data modelling and report creation to support business analysis and performance monitoring.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel with advanced experience in creating and managing spreadsheets, utilizing pivot tables, and visualizing data through charts and graphs.
- Strong listening, communication and team working skills, with ability to interact across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong creative, technical, innovative and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, results-oriented mindset with a can‑do attitude and strong networking skills.
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
- Good written and spoken English.
