We’re looking for a passionate, creative and inspired Mixologist to join our team at Another Place, The Lake. Set against the backdrop of Ullswater and the surrounding fells, you’ll craft thoughtful, original drinks that surprise and delight our guests, elevating every moment at the bar. Working across our three locations, The Living Space, Rampsbeck, and The Glasshouse, and inspired by our Cumbrian roots and natural surroundings, you’ll bring a sense of place into every cocktail, using seasonal ingredients and local flavours wherever possible.
You’ll be naturally guest focused, confidently recommending drinks based on mood and occasion, and enjoy working collaboratively, sharing ideas, contributing to tastings and supporting the wider team. Above all, you’ll help create the feeling our guests remember most, being welcomed, cared for and completely at ease.
This is a full‑time position offered on a zero‑hour contract basis. As our Mixologist you’ll be:
- Help keep The Living Space bar running smoothly day to day, bringing energy and reliability to every shift.
- Collaborate with our Manager and Senior Mixologist to craft and evolve the cocktail menu, contributing creative ideas and taking initiative in recipe development, stock ordering, and control.
- Confidently work across both the bar and floor, adapting to where you’re needed most.
- Prepare hot and cold beverages to a consistently high standard, with care and attention to detail in every drink.
- Stay curious and proactive in building product knowledge and refining your craft.
- Maintain a clean, organised section at all times, ensuring the bar and floor area meet high presentation standards.
- Act promptly on guest‑related issues, communicating clearly with supervisors to ensure a smooth and positive guest experience.
