We’re looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Bar and Waiting Assistant to join our team at The Brackenrigg Inn. You’ll be detail-oriented, highly organised, and eager to explore the many moving parts that keep a busy operation running like clockwork. You’ll support our day-to-day service with care and professionalism, anticipating guests’ needs and ensuring every interaction feels effortless and welcoming.

As our Bar and Waiting Assistant you’ll be:

• Welcoming guests in a warm, friendly, timely and relaxed yet professional manner.
• Working in all areas of the restaurant and bar.
• Working behind the bar.
• Waiting on tables inside and outside.
• Keeping the area you’re responsible for clean, tidy, and organised.
• Helping with cutlery and supporting Kitchen Porter as needed.
• Working together as part of our committed, efficient, and dynamic team.

In our kitchen and behind the scenes:

• Making sure that our chemical spray guns and blue towel dispensers are filled and replenished.
• Ensuring waste bins are emptied regularly.
• Washing dishes and cutlery and making sure all areas have enough to use.
• Polishing cutlery ready for our bar and waiting teams to use.
• Cleaning and sanitising our kitchens and back of house corridor floors as needed.
• Washing and polishing glasses.
• Keeping the bar team well stocked with the products and supplies they need to run smoothly.
