As Senior Business Development Representative you will be responsible for generating new qualified leads and opportunities for the EMEA sales team. You will work collaboratively with sales and marketing to define a strategic business approach to generate pipeline. You will use your strong and creative prospecting skills to connect with the right prospects (cold and warm), build relationships and identify opportunities.

Work closely with AEs and Partners in region collaboratively build and execute on outreach plan.

Responsibilities
  • Research and build contact plans utilising Salesforce, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Outreach.io, Demandbase and other tools
  • Tailor outreach copy to be used in email and physical mail
  • Collaborate with Sales Manager and AEs to create talk track for cold calling, which will make up to 50% of your day
  • Regular joint outbound calling sessions with AEs maximising effectiveness
  • Hand prospects to AEs or nurture marketing campaigns

Whilst this role is based from our London office, we support hybrid working. To us at Aptitude, hybrid working means that our employees come together for 2-days per week at their local office. It’s an opportunity for our teams to collaborate, solve problems together and to be engaged and involved in the wider community of our business. We ask employees to come into the office every Wednesday and give you the flexibility to choose your other day from either Tuesday or Thursday.

Key Qualifications and Skills
  • The ability to prospect to companies via cold calling, email, marketing campaigns, social selling to drive demand leading for conversion
  • A great storyteller with positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills and strong written skills in all communication
  • Ability to research target accounts and target personas in line with Aptitude’s defined target client and buyer profiles
  • Work with the BDR, Sales and Marketing teams on designing, driving registrations for and executing events within the region
  • Natural / effortless networker
  • Excellent communicator, proficient in building strong connections internally and externally.
  • Goal driven, strong self‑starter with the ability to work as a team player in a high‑energy sales team environment
  • Able to utilise industry knowledge to research & develop accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and identify compelling events
  • Target driven with the ability to attain and exceed sales goals by securing meetings with qualified leads
  • Experience with or capability in building proficiency in using tools such as Salesforce, and LinkedIn
  • The ability to quickly grow knowledge of Aptitude target markets (Insurance, Banking, Technology/Software, Telco, Hi‑Tech Manufacturing)
  • Over 12 months experience in a similar role
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in BDR or demand generation in technology industry is preferred, specifically in SaaS and targeting the office of the CFO will be a plus
