We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Automotive Tutor to support students in developing their understanding of automotive mechanics and related subjects. This role involves providing specialised tutoring tailored to individual learning needs, including those with special educational requirements. The successful candidate will utilise their expertise to foster confidence and competence in learners, ensuring they achieve their academic goals in a supportive environment.
Wage depends on qualifications: if you come from industry with no teaching experience it would be £30,000 + £2,000 bonus. If you can teach Autocare level 2 it will be £32,000 + £2,000 bonus, and if you can teach Autocare level 3 it would be £33,000 + £2,000 bonus.
Duties:
- Deliver personalised tutoring sessions focused on heavy automotive topics, including engine systems, brake mechanisms, and vehicle maintenance.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles and special educational needs.
- Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Develop customised lesson plans and educational materials that align with curriculum standards.
- Support students with practical demonstrations and hands-on activities where appropriate.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student engagement and motivation.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, or special education staff to ensure comprehensive support for learners.
Experience:
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching within the automotive sector, particularly with heavy vehicles or machinery.
- Experience working with children or young people, including those with special educational needs.
