Aptia is seeking a commercially-minded Proposition Lead to help shape and evolve market-leading propositions that deliver clarity, value, and meaningful impact for our clients and their customers. In this role, you will play a pivotal strategic role in defining, developing, and enhancing the propositions that underpin Aptia’s UK pensions administration and consulting business. You will combine insight, creativity, and commercial thinking to ensure our solutions stand out in a competitive and rapidly evolving landscape.
Responsibilities
- Develop compelling propositions that meet customer needs, align to business strategy, and clearly differentiate Aptia in the market.
- Own the full proposition lifecycle — from initial ideation and validation to launch and continuous improvement.
- Conduct market, customer, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging market trends.
- Collaborate across the business including Client Management, Growth/Sales, Marketing, Digital & Technology, Finance, and Operations to bring propositions to life.
- Build robust business cases with clear commercial rationale, financial modelling, and performance metrics.
- Define value propositions and messaging that resonate with target customer groups.
- Monitor proposition performance using KPIs, customer feedback, and insight to drive optimisation.
- Support go-to-market planning ensuring propositions are clearly positioned and effectively communicated.
- Champion customer insight by leveraging research, analytics, and behavioural data.
Qualifications
- Strong commercial acumen and experience building business cases within the UK pensions landscape (admin, consulting or a combination of the two).
- A background in product, marketing, proposition development or commercial strategy — ideally in a fast-paced or customer-centric environment.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and the ability to influence at all levels.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to turn insight into action.
- Creative problem-solving combined with strong strategic thinking.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- Experience in customer research or proposition testing (desirable).
