Lead and optimise processes for the De-risking solutions team within the consulting division. Report to the Head of De-risking. Hybrid working role aligned to any Aptia UK office.

Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead multiple De-risking teams (3–6 direct reports; up to 50 total team members).
  • Oversee delivery of complex, high-profile client projects ensuring quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.
  • Act as the escalation point for operational, resourcing, and client challenges.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive process improvements, standardisation, and efficiency across teams.
  • Ensure robust governance, risk management, and compliance in all data and project work.
  • Continuously enhance service delivery and operational performance.

Client & Commercial Focus

  • Manage relationships on escalated client accounts.
  • Support pricing, budgeting, and revenue generation activities.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and add value to clients.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Monitor utilisation, revenue targets, and project performance.
  • Drive accountability for team output and profitability.
  • Review and act on MI reporting to optimise results.

People Leadership

  • Build, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
  • Lead recruitment, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Foster a collaborative, engaging, and high-performance culture.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience leading project-based teams in pensions or financial services.
  • Deep understanding of UK pensions legislation.
  • Proven ability to drive operational change, process improvement, and transformation.
  • Experience managing client relationships, budgets, and profitability.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including revenue generation and fee negotiation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
