The Role
We’re looking for a Trainee Pensions Administrator to join Aptia at an exciting time of growth and transformation. This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career within pensions, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive and structured environment. You’ll work as part of a collaborative team delivering high-quality administration services to members, trustees, and clients. With guidance from experienced colleagues, you’ll develop strong technical knowledge and build a solid foundation for a long-term career in pensions. This is a hybrid role, offering a blend of office and home working.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a variety of pension administration tasks, including leavers, data updates, and setting up benefits into payment
- Respond to member, trustee, and client enquiries (with support and supervision)
- Learn to perform pensions calculations accurately and efficiently
- Deliver work within agreed service levels and timescales
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and service delivery
- Follow established procedures and contribute to a consistent, high-quality service

Essential Experience
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English (Grade C or above)
- Strong numeracy skills and confidence working with numbers
- Good IT skills, including familiarity with MS Office
- High level of attention to detail and organisation
- Ability to follow processes and work accurately within guidelines
- Previous experience in an administrative role
