Aptia have a new opportunity for a De-Risking Operations Director to provide leadership and process optimisation to our De-Risking solutions team. This team sits as part of our newly-formed Consulting division and is a key growth and focus area for the business. Reporting to the Head of De-risking, you'll play a key role in shaping how we deliver solutions, improve processes, and support clients through complex transformation projects. This is a hybrid working role which can be aligned to any Aptia UK office.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Leadership & Delivery
- Lead multiple De-risking teams (3-6 direct reports; up to 50 total team members)
- Oversee delivery of complex, high-profile client projects ensuring quality, timelines, and client satisfaction
- Act as the escalation point for operational, resourcing, and client challenges
- Operational Excellence
- Drive process improvements, standardisation, and efficiency across teams
- Ensure robust governance, risk management, and compliance in all data and project work
- Continuously enhance service delivery and operational performance
- Client & Commercial Focus
- Manage relationships on escalated client accounts
- Support pricing, budgeting, and revenue generation activities
- Identify opportunities to expand services and add value to clients
- Financial & Performance Management
- Monitor utilisation, revenue targets, and project performance
- Drive accountability for team output and profitability
- Review and act on MI reporting to optimise results
- Build, develop, and retain high-performing teams
- Lead recruitment, succession planning, and talent development
- Foster a collaborative, engaging, and high-performance culture

- Strong experience leading project-based teams in pensions or financial services
