Aptia are looking for a talented Design Consultant to join our growing UK Communications Practice.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in creating engaging, accessible and impactful communications that help pension scheme members better understand their benefits and make informed decisions about their financial futures.
As a Design Consultant, you'll work closely with Communication Consultants, Client Directors and pension specialists to deliver high-quality member communications across multiple channels.
You'll combine creative thinking, technical design expertise and a strong understanding of audience engagement to develop compelling communications that build trust, improve understanding and enhance the member experience.
Initially, your focus will be on pension scheme communications, including: Newsletters, Benefit statements, Booklets and guides, Websites and microsites, Email campaigns, Videos and animations, Posters and promotional materials, Member engagement campaigns.
As part of a growing, revenue-generating practice, you'll also help shape and develop Aptia's communications offering, bringing fresh ideas and innovative solutions to clients.
This is a hybrid working position which can align to any Aptia UK office.
Key responsibilities
- Creating and delivering high-quality design solutions across print and digital channels.
- Translating client objectives into engaging communication concepts and visual designs.
- Leading the design delivery of member communications from concept through to production.
- Developing communication templates, design standards and best-practice tools.
- Supporting client onboarding and major change projects, including scheme transitions, GMP rectification and pensions dashboard initiatives.
- Using engagement data, feedback and analytics to continuously improve communication effectiveness.
- Ensuring all communications are accessible, inclusive, user-friendly and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Managing relationships with external design agencies, printers and suppliers where required.
- Representing Aptia in client meetings and communication-related discussions.
Here's what we're looking for
- Previous experience in pensions, employee benefits or financial services communications.
- Outstanding graphic and communication design skills across digital and print media.
- Experience designing communications for diverse audiences with varying levels of financial literacy.
- Strong understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
- Experience creating personalised communications through data merging and dynamic content.
Expertise in digital engagement channels, including websites, portals, email campaigns, videos, animations and webinars.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working to tight deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A commercial mindset with a passion for developing innovative client solutions.
- Understanding of pension administration processes and member communication requirements across different life stages.
- Experience working with pension trustees, employers or pension administration providers.
