Role Summary:
This role is central to Aptia’s Consulting practice, delivering end-to-end pensions consulting services to trustees and sponsors of defined benefit and defined contribution schemes.
The focus is on strategic advice, governance, compliance, and operational excellence, ensuring clients receive integrated solutions across administration, technology, and consulting.
It is a hybrid position where you will work from any Aptia office as well as from your home address.
What you\’ll be doing:
- Lead client engagements across a portfolio of pension schemes, providing strategic consulting on governance, compliance, operational efficiency, and member experience.
- Advise trustees and corporate sponsors on regulatory changes, scheme governance frameworks, and best practice.
- Coordinate full-service delivery, working with administration, technology, and specialist teams to ensure seamless client outcomes.
- Develop tailored solutions for scheme governance, risk management, member communications, and operational improvements.
- Identify opportunities for service enhancements and cross-selling within Aptia’s broader offerings.
- Support new business development, including proposals, pitches, and thought leadership contributions.
- Stay current with pensions legislation, regulatory guidance (TPR codes), and industry trends.
- Mentor junior consultants, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.
Here\’s what we\’re looking for:
- Significant experience in pensions consulting (DB and/or DC schemes), ideally across multiple client types and sizes.
- Strong understanding of UK pensions legislation, governance requirements, and operational best practices.
- Commercial awareness and ability to deliver value-added solutions beyond compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships and projects simultaneously.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to working in a growing team.
