Role Summary
You will support the Pension Administration business with the timely and efficient management of outstanding debts, optimizing cashflow and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This is a hybrid position working from the Chichester Aptia office and from your home address. The contract is for 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Proactively manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring overdue debts are chased in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate with clients regarding outstanding balances, set up payment plans where necessary, and maintain a high level of customer service.
- Partner with offshore team in India to reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies related to outstanding invoices.
- Maintain accurate records of communications and payments, providing regular reports on the status of outstanding debts to senior management.
- Assist in reviewing and setting appropriate credit limits for new and existing clients.
- Support the wider finance team in ensuring cash flow targets are met and help optimise working capital.
- Establish efficient and effective processes for the Credit Control team.
Requirements
- Experience in a credit control role, ideally within a financial services or pension administration business.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive client conversations professionally.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, with a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and credit control systems.
- Institute of Credit Management full or part-qualification preferred (could be working towards one).
- Familiarity with pension administration and related financial processes is an advantage but not essential.
Contract and Location Details
Hybrid work arrangement: Aptia office in Chichester plus remote/home working. 6-month contract.
