Apthorp Care Centre is a specialist care home in Barnet, North London supporting adults with complex nursing needs, dementia and mental health conditions. The home offers 119 purpose designed bedrooms across three floors and provides complex nursing care, specialist dementia support and residential mental health care within a safe, structured and supportive environment focused on dignity, stability and wellbeing.

The Role

As Business Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth day to day operation of the care home. Working closely with the Home Manager and wider management team, you will oversee a range of administrative systems and ensure the home runs efficiently. You will act as a first point of contact for enquiries from residents, families, visitors and professionals, helping to create a welcoming and professional environment within the home. You will also support with arranging visits, responding to enquiries and maintaining accurate records. Your responsibilities will include managing administrative systems such as resident agreements, staff records, payroll administration, training records and internal documentation. You will ensure information is recorded accurately and maintained in line with company procedures. You will also support the Home Manager with general office administration, reporting, and compliance related documentation, ensuring records remain organised and up to date. Working closely with reception and other departments, you will help ensure communication across the home runs smoothly. Your role will contribute to the efficient management of the home while supporting both staff and residents through effective organisation and communication.
