Apteriors is a forward thinking FF&E Interior Design Studio based in London with a manufacturing facility in Leeds. We are creative, innovative and experienced in our sectors which include Education, Defence, Healthcare, Residential, Commercial and Hospitality. We are seeking a detail-oriented senior designer to join our friendly and collaborative team – leading our Education projects, crafting inspiring spaces that meet our clients’ needs.
As a Senior Designer, you will play a key role in the design and execution of projects within the education sector, delivering to the employers requirements at pace. You will be responsible for all project stages from concept to installation, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure exceptional project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee FF&E delivery across all project stages, including documentation and procurement support
- Leading the consultancy process with the client & project team
- Delegating tasks to your project support team members
- Manage large scale projects within the Education sector
- Support the senior team with bids and project proposals
- Create/oversee design presentations and manage the delivery of these
- Collaborate closely with project teams to develop comprehensive and co-ordinated design solutions
- Ensure compliance with all relevant British Standards, regulations, and industry best practices
- Manage supplier relationships and specify appropriate products
- Provide technical guidance and support to the design team
- Ensure all designs are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard
- Proven experience within Education FF&E space planning
- Good understanding of DFE requirements
- Ability to develop and mentor a team
- Advanced Revit skills with specific BIM experience
- Strong understanding of interior architecture, furniture specifications and space planning
- Knowledge of British Standards and building regulations
- Understanding of RIBA work stages and procurement processes
- Strong project management capabilities for various projects running simultaneously
- Good attention to detail in order to QA the junior team’s work
